I am an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. I received my PhD from The Ohio State University in 2018.
My research interests include economic sociology, development, and work. I teach courses in urban sociology, poverty, research methods, theory, and religion.
My work has been published in Research in the Sociology of Work, the Canadian Journal of Development Studies, Sociology Compass, and The SAGE Encyclopedia of Economics and Society. My research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the American Association of University Women, the Mershon Center for International Security Studies, the Food Innovation Center, and the Sociology Department at Ohio State.
